​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â€‹Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board offers a variety of full-time and part-time positions in our schools and board facilities.

Note: In order to apply for Designated Early Childhood Educator positions a pastoral reference is required.  For all other positions listed below a pastoral reference is not required to apply.​

Clerical, Secretarial, Administrative, Custodial, Maintenance, etc.​:​​

Administrative Support 
Administrative support positions are based in schools or at the school board offices in Mississauga. If you are interested in applying for an administrative position you should possess, as a minimum, a Secondary School Diploma and any other job related qualifications.

Custodial  
Floater Custodians and Cleaners typically have responsibility for either a number of schools or are based at a specific location. Part-time or full-time shifts become available. Hours of work vary. A valid drivers' licence is required for Floater Custodian positions as there will be a requirement to travel to different schools.

Maintenance
Our maintenance staff work across various locations and must possess specific trade certificates or licences as required by the Ministry of Labour. A valid drivers' licence is also required.​


Management & Professional:​

​​Supervisory, Administrative, Senior Secretarial, Non-Union Administrative Positions
Most positions require post-secondary education and experience related to the specific position.

Professional Student Services
Speech Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Child and Youth Workers provide a range of services to students, parents and staff across the School Board.


Educational Resource Workers

Educational Resource Workers provide assistance to students with special needs who are either physically/developmentally challenged or who have identified beha​vioural difficulties. The Educational Resource Worker works with these students with special needs in a classroom setting, either in a regular classroom or in a ‘contained’ classroom.

Designated Early Childhood Educators

Designated Early Childhood Educators work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to set-up, plan for and provide a Catholic Education for all pupils; observe, monitor and assess the development of all pupils; maintain a healthy physical, emotional, social and spiritual learning environment; communicate with parents; and perform all duties with respect to the Early Learning Program.

Ontario Public Service Employees Union OPSEU  
​OPSEU represents all Employees employed by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board in the Adult and Continuing Education Department of the English as a Second Language Program (ESL/LINC).   Certified ESL/LINC Instructors are required to have completed a Teacher of English as a Second Language Certification Program (TESL) recognized by both TESL Canada and TESL Ontario for provincial and national TESL certification.

Summer Students Employment
Each year the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board provides summer employment opportunities for secondary and post-secondary students. Applications for Summer Student Employment for the upcoming summer will be accepted from February 1, 2024 until June 30th, 2024.
