This year's Catholic Education Week will be held May 5-10, 2024.
Catholic Education Week begins on a Sunday to highlight the partnership that remains the foundation of Catholic education between our Catholic schools and local Catholic parishes.
During Catholic Education Week, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board celebrates the significant contribution that Catholic Education has made to the community, the province and to Canada.
Catholic Education Week is marked by special activities at all grade levels, including prayer celebrations, service activities, Ontario Catholic Student Youth Day and Catholic Education Week Provincial Mass.
Throughout Catholic Education Week, we reflect on the significance of Catholic education’s presence and contribution in our Church, and in our society.
We invite all members of our community, to participate in the celebrations and activities that will mark the celebration of Catholic Education Week in our schools.
The theme is 'We Are Called to Love".
The five sub-themes for Catholic Education Week are:
Monday: As people of hope
Tuesday: As people of faith
Wednesday: As people of mercy
Thursday: As people of justice
Friday: As people of joy
